Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Friday, Sept. 20

Boys soccer

Gerstell 2, Friends 0: The Falcons got goals from Justin Rudo and Gavin Larson, and Preston Harris made two saves to earn the shutout win. Amari Bowman and Malcom Hoar had assists.

C. Milton Wright 4, Century 0: Brody Walton scored twice and the host Mustangs shut out the Knights. Brandon Flynn had a goal and an assist for C.M. Wright.

Loyola Blakefield 3, Mount St. Joseph 0: The visiting Dons (5-0-1, 5-0-1 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) won their fourth straight game overall and third shutout in a row. The Gaels fell to 4-4, 1-4. Tuesday, Mt. St. Joe travels to Archbishop Spalding. Next Friday, Loyola travels to John Carroll.

McDonogh 4, Concordia Prep 2: The visiting Eagles (4-0-2, 3-0-2 MIAA A Conference) beat the Saints (1-6, 0-6). Tuesday, Concordia Prep hosts Gilman. Wednesday, McDonogh hosts Calvert Hall.

Archbishop Curley 2, Gilman 1: The visiting Friars (7-1, 4-1 MIAA A Conference) beat the Greyhounds (4-2-2, 2-2-2). Saturday, Gilman hosts Landon.  Sunday, Archbishop Curley travel to Calvert Hall.

Volleyball

Hereford 3, Carver A&T 0: The host Bulls beat the Wildcats. Hereford won, 25-14, 25-21, 25-13.
