[Baltimore Sun] Armstrong Williams: Democrats have big plans for the Supreme Court | STAFF COMMENTARY
Are you following the insane Democratic playbook calling for court-packing, the removal of justices and even the dissolution of the entire Supreme Court? Just recently, liberal author Fran Lebowitz called for the complete dissolution of the Supreme Court in the wake of its ruling on presidential immunity. Not only that, Democratic senator Ron Wyden of Oregon recently introduced a bill that would increase the number of justices and make it harder for them to overturn laws. Do you want to know how you know proposals like those from Senator Wyden are patently absurd and a political farce? Because if Republicans held the executive branch and both houses of Congress, Democrats would be on their knees to stop Donald Trump from choosing new justices and packing the court with conservative justices. This is why you have the legislative, judicial and executive branches of government with equal powers. This is crazy in an election year, but it just goes to show you what will happen if we don’t win the trifecta — the White House, Senate and the House — in this upcoming election in order to stop these crazies from disregarding and rewriting our Constitution.
